ROUTINE WORK WITH ROADMEN DISCUSSED
The following roadmen were present to discuss matters regarding roads within the County: Dave Guymon, George Barry and Silas Barton. Some of the matters that were discussed were as follows: Opening the Ginger Hill Road so that the Butts family could get a "Cat" out; opening the road to the B. L. M. horse pasture just East of the Vega; Goosenecks Road needs improving; Seventh Day Adventist Hospital Road needs improving; Muley Point Road in area of Texas Zinc Road needs improving; air compressor at Blanding not giving good performance.
COST OF PRISONERS' MEALS DISCUSSED
The cost of the prisoners1 meals was discussed and it was unanimously agreed that they should be kept within $1.50 per day per prisoner, 60 cents for breakfast and 90 cents for dinner.
The Clerk was directed to write to the Cafe owners that the County must stay within its budget of the above amounts , each letter to be signed by all the Commissioners.
NO APPOINTMENT OF JUSTICE OF PEACE FOR BLANDING PRECINCT UNTIL RESIGNATION RECEIVED
The Clerk was directed to write to the Blanding City Council informing them that there can be no new appointment for Justice of Peace for Blanding Precinct until the resignation of the previous Justice of Peace is received.
BUILDING MAINTENANCE MAN DISCUSSED
Bert Warren was present to discuss his previous request to be made Building Maintenance Man for the County. The matter had been tabled until the first of the year and no action was taken this day, the matter to be continued until a special meeting on Wednesday, the 6th day of January, at 9 A. M. at which meeting the Commissioners will also discuss specifications for cars needed for the County.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Upon motion, meeting adjourned until Wednesday the 6th day of January, at 9 A. M.
