Cal Black Memorial Airport will be implementing a revised Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) Program and Goal for Federal fiscal years 2021 to 2023. The proposed goal is 0.82% overall, 0.82% Race Conscious (RC), and 0.00% Race Neutral (RN). The purpose of the Program and Goal is to establish a level playing field for the participation of DBEs. It is Cal Black Memorial Airport’s intent to invite all interested parties to provide feedback and relevant information to the goal setting process prior to submitting the goal for approval. If you have information concerning the availability of disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged business, the effects of discrimination on opportunities for DBEs, and Cal Black Memorial Airport’s efforts to establish a level playing field for the participation of DBEs, we invite you to call in to on August 21, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. At this time, Cal Black Memorial Airport will accept comments and questions about the DBE Program and Goal setting process during this event.
The proposed goals and rationale are available for inspection between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, in the San Juan County Courthouse, 117 South Main Street, Monticello, Utah 84535, for 30 days from the date of this publication. Comments on the DBE goal will be accepted for 30 days from the date of this publication and can be sent to the following:

“Greetings to our Mexican Hat Drop Box Customers! The San Juan County Landfill wants to make you aware that with the upcoming Holidays in July, there will be some changes to the hours of operation at the Mexican Hat Solid Waste Drop Box (Transfer Station). The location will be open normal hours on 6/26 & 30/20, but it WILL BE CLOSED on 7/3 & 24/20. Please plan your waste hauling trips accordingly.** As a reminder, there are other options for you to properly dispose of your solid waste, other than the Mexican Hat Drop Box. Kayenta Township runs a Transfer Station M – Sat., Blanding runs a Drop Box Wed. & Sat. and the Main SJC Landfill is open M – F, 7am – 4:30pm (closed all major Holidays).

“Greetings to our LaSal Drop Box Customers! In light of the upcoming Independence Day Holiday, the LaSal Drop Box will be CLOSED on 7/4/20. The location will be open regular hours once again on 7/10/20. Please plan your waste hauling trips accordingly.

San Juan County Road Department will be chip sealing CR313 – Lisbon Valley Road from the junction of State Highway 46 and CR313 for approximately 5.7 miles.
San Juan County Road Department also anticipates chip sealing CR111 – Big Indian Spur from the junction of CR111 and CR114 – Steen’s Road for approximately 2 miles. Work will begin Monday, June 15, 2020 and will end Thursday, June 18, 2020.
A fog seal is planned for CR101 – North Creek beginning at the junction of State Route 211 and CR101 for approximately 14 miles. One lane will be fogged at a time and turning off in certain areas will not be allowed while oil is fresh. A pilot car will be onsite to lead traffic through the work zone.
