SAN JUAN COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING December 10, 2007 The regular meeting of the San Juan County Commission was held at 10:00 A.M. in the Commission Room at Monticello, Utah. Present: Kenneth Maryboy, Vice Chairman Lynn Stevens, Commissioner Tammy Gallegos, SJC Administrative Assistant Dawn Shaw, Deputy Clerk Absent: Bruce Adams, Chairman Attendees: A motion to approve the minutes of December 3, 2007, reserving the right for Commissioner Bruce Adams to make comments, was made by Commissioner Lynn Stevens. Commissioner Kenneth Maryboy seconded the motion. None opposed. Commissioner Kenneth Maryboy declared the motion carried. Linda Larsen - SJC EMS Linda presented a request to hire Bryan Adams and Nicole Bradford to fill two part time positions. A motion to approve the hires was made by Commissioner Lynn Stevens. Commissioner Kenneth Maryboy seconded the motion. None opposed. Commissioner Kenneth Maryboy declared the motion carried. Linda presented a procurement request for custom blinds at a cost of $751.28 from Redd's True Value for the Blanding Ambulance Garage. A motion to approve the procurement request was made by Commissioner Lynn Stevens. Commissioner Kenneth Maryboy seconded the motion. None opposed. Commissioner Kenneth Maryboy declared the motion carried. Tammy Gallegos - SJC Administrative Assistant Tammy presented the name of Saige Slavens to be hired as the part time Activity Coordinator. A motion to approve the recommendation at a Grade 1 Step 1 was made by Commissioner Lynn Stevens. Commissioner Kenneth Maryboy seconded the motion. None opposed. Commissioner Kenneth Maryboy declared the motion carried. Tammy presented the name of Johnny Berlett to be hired as the part time Bluff/Mexican Hat Transfer Station Attendant. A motion to approve the recommendation at Grade 1 Step 1 was made by Commissioner Lynn Stevens. Commissioner Kenneth Maryboy seconded the motion. None opposed. Commissioner Kenneth Maryboy declared the motion carried. -1- Commission Reports Commissioner Stevens attended the Navajo Trust Fund Board Meeting last Thursday. He will be going to Salt Lake today for a state wide BLM Resource and Advisory meeting and will be back Wednesday morning. Friday he plans to attend the Canyon Country Partnership Meeting in Green River. He can be reached by phone. Commissioner Maryboy reported that there was a great turn out for the 19th Annual Santa Celebration. He went to Salt Lake last week and met with staff from the Governor's office.
