Seasonal Laborer - Road Department

General Purpose

This is a seasonal position for individuals that are semi-skilled requiring heavy manual labor.  Works under the direction of the Road Operations Manager or under other assigned personnel.

Work Location

4 position is available.  2-North District (Monticello) & 2-South District (Blanding) 

Essential Functions

• Will operate and maintain light duty vehicles, chain saws, shovels and various mechanized and non-mechanized hand tools.
• Assists with installing cattle guards and culverts.
• Assists with patching roads, filling cracks in asphalt roads and clearing rocks off of roadways.
• Performs any and all related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid Utah driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to report for work on time and to perform the duties of the job for the entire workday

Salary $16.72/hr
