Commission and School District Redistricting Maps and More Information

Commission District and Redistricting Information

The County has 5 optional maps for the redistricting of the Commission Districts and two maps of the School Board Districts. Why are we redistricting? After every census is completed, there is a requirement to make sure the population totals are appropriate by election law, both at a County, State and Federal level. San Juan County has had enough of a population shift that it requires us to adjust our district boundaries for both the Commission (3) Districts as well as the School Board (5) Districts.

You will find links to the maps and documents below. Included is a link to the virtual mapping system which will allow you to view the district maps and zoom in and out to your specific area.

As you explore these map options, know that the County will have a Virtual Public Hearing to hear from you. Due to group gathering restrictions throughout portions of the County, we feel that a Virtual Public Hearing will be the safest and allow for the most attendance as possible. We will also be posting a form for registered voters of San Juan County to provide feedback or comments directly to the County for those who may not have access to the internet, if you are unable to make it to the Public Hearing
