What We Do
The San Juan County Road Department maintains roads and associated infrastructures within unincorporated areas of San Juan County. Inside the area of about 7,929 square miles that makes up San Juan County.
The Road Department maintains 1610 miles of dirt roads, 745 miles of gravel roads, and 371 miles of paved roads. Maintaining these roads includes grading, asphalt maintenance, chip sealing, snow removal, and maintenance of borrow ditches and flood channels within the road right of ways.
