Physical Address Requests

The San Juan County Survey Department will assign physical addresses only to properties in the unincorporated areas of San Juan County. If you would like to add or make changes to the mailing address used by San Juan County, please contact the Treasurer's Office.

Please note that an encroachment easement is required for an official physical address on a county road.

If the property in question falls within or near the city limits of Monticello, Blanding or Bluff you will need to contact the appropriate municipal office for your addressing needs.

When submitting a request for an address, please provide as much of the following information as you are able:

1. Name, email address, and phone number. (Email is the default form of contact unless otherwise specified.)

2. Property ID or Parcel number. (Can be found on your Property Tax bill/notice.)

3. General property location, existing structures if present, and access routes.

Address requests will only be processed on the first and third Wednesday of the month and will only include those requests received after the previous submission date.
