Jail

• Can I call to talk to an inmate?

  No, inmates cannot receive incoming phone calls. However, they have access to phones in their sections and can call anytime during the day.

• Can I mail packages or books to an inmate?

  No, inmate's are not allowed to get packages from family members in the mail.

• Can I pick up an inmate's property?

  Yes, with the inmate's authorization, we will release only his/her personal items.

• Can I send envelopes, paper or stamps through the mail?

  No, we cannot accept those items through the mail. Inmates can purchase all of those items through commissary.

• How can I put money on an inmate's commissary account?

  There are three ways to put money on an inmate's account:

  1. Via mail: Mail a money order to PO Box 788, Monticello, UT 84535

  2. Online: Go to jailatm.com where all major credit cards are accepted

  3. Lobby: There is a kiosk in the lobby where all major credit cards are accepted as well as cash

• How can I visit an inmate?

  You can schedule an online visit with an inmate. If you don't have access to a computer, there is one available in our lobby.

• If I turn myself in for a warrant or commitment how long will it take to be processed?

  Booking or release processing times vary. We strive to process everyone as soon as possible.

• What can I bring to the inmate?

  Prescription glasses, current prescribed medications, contacts and an unopened bottle of contact solution.

• Will you give an inmate a message or phone number for me?

  No, we do not deliver messages for inmates. If you need to contact an inmate you can send them a message through their tablet or schedule a video visit.
