Part-time Temporary Librarian Blanding

General Purpose

Perform general library duties which involve patron service, collection shelving and maintenance, basic research, supervise other library employees and duties assigned by Library director and Assistant Director.  

This is Part-time temporary position working less than 29 hours a week lasting approx. 3 months.  

Under the general supervision of the Library Director and Lead Librarian  perform the following duties:

Respond to basic requests and inquiries from library patrons and visitors, including, but not limited to:
Assisting patrons locate materials, as well as with computer use; 
Operate a variety of library equipment such as telephone, FAX, computers, copiers, scanners;
Maintain all library materials in good working order and usable condition;
Basic cash handling;
Assist with special programs and events.
Other tasks as assigned.
