Road Department Mechanic - Monticello

Under the general guidance and direction of the Shop Supervisor. Performs a variety of skilled maintenance, service repair, and rebuilding of light or heavy mechanized vehicles, engines, and equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 1. Four (4) years of skilled mechanic experience in maintenance and repair of gasoline and diesel engines or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Must have a Commercial Driver’s license, classification “A” which includes the ability to qualify physically, and obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate, under requirements of Subpart E, Section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

Position may be underfilled at a lower pay rate for an applicant who does not have, but is willing to acquire a Commercial Driver’s license, classification “A” within the first 6 months of employment

Salary $42,912 - 52,640 DOE
