Telephone Reassurance
The Telephone Reassurance Program is a program that provides pre-scheduled calls to individuals who live alone and are homebound. The calls provide a safety check and help reduce loneliness.
The Homebound Client
- Decides how often and when they would like to be called between the hours of 8-2 Monday through Friday
- Someone will check in on them and provide conversation
- Stays independent at home longer.
San Juan County Aging Staff or Volunteers
- Calls the client at the time predetermined time.
- Converses with the client and finds out how they are doing.
- Reports unanswered calls to program staff.
