Caregiver-Help is available for you!

Caregivers are an important part of health care services. Loved ones and family members are able to stay at home or with someone willing to care for them. It is estimated that there are 5.8 to 7 million caregivers in the United States providing care to a person aged 65 and older needing help with every day challenges. An estimated 22.4 million households are caring for someone aged 50 and older.

Caregivers are special people. They see someone in need, and they choose to put their own needs second to the one needing care. Caregivers may live with a loved one requiring assistance or may lend support to someone who is unable to live safely without the added support provided of a caregiver.

You are a Caregiver if you help a loved one with:

  • Grocery shopping
  • House cleaning
  • Shopping or Meals
  • Paying bills
  • Giving medicine
  • Bathing or Dressing
  • Bathroom assistance
