Volunteering

Jails appreciate volunteers who provide services to inmates. These services offer distractions to inmates that assists in occupying their time.

Volunteers at San Juan County Jail include church services such as the Episcopal Church, Jehovah's Witnesses, and the LDS Church.

AA/NA is another volunteer service offered.

Volunteers must be approved by jail staff before they are allowed to have contact with inmates.

Yarn donations can be left at the Sheriff's Office. Inmates crochet hats, scarves, blankets, and toys that are donated to local shelters.
